Hey there! I’m Mika! My photography journey began back in 2015 when I got my hands on an iPhone 5s. Nature and anything that feels like art really capture my heart, and I just love snapping photos of them! As I dove deeper into the world of photography, I found myself watching tons of YouTube videos about DSLR cameras, and it quickly became my dream to own one.

On my 16th birthday, my dad surprised me with a Canon EOS 750D! I was beyond excited! I spent countless hours learning different photography styles through YouTube tutorials, and somehow, my passion caught the attention of friends and family who started to hire me for their photoshoots.

In 2017, I came across a post from Regine Magbiray on Facebook. She was looking for a photographer, and I decided to reach out. To my surprise, she trusted me! That turned into my very first birthday photoshoot, and shortly after, I got to shoot a wedding too. Regine saw potential in me—she said I reminded her of herself—so she took me under her wing as her second shooter from 2017 to 2022.

I got to experience so many amazing moments at weddings, concerts, and various photoshoots across the Philippines. Eventually, we parted ways since I wanted to pursue my American dream, while she continued her photography journey in Australia. When I first arrived in the US, I really missed the joy of capturing memories. Thankfully, I found an opportunity to be a second shooter again, which was a blast! I got to photograph Chinese and Cambodian weddings, and I learned a ton from that experience.

Now, I’m super excited to start my own photography career and invest in high-quality equipment so I can continue capturing beautiful moments! I’d love to share my passion with you, so thank you so much for taking the time to read my story!
